No problems so far. It runs good and everything but if it is for your mom you dont have to get her something like this. Get her like a dell or sony... moms love sony's.

Only bad thing on mine is a constant BSoD when booting from battery power. On AC all very well and good.

All the best

Feel this is minor, but the slot drive would not accept the small cds. One of the devices (GPS Unit) I had, the manu. released the drivers on a mini CD. The solution in my case was just plugged in an external drive. It is interesting that the drive would not accept the cd, however, but again, minor. Alot of people complain about the fan, as mentioned subjective, as I think it is fine, but again, I have four towers in the same room (totally 8x90mm and 120mm fans x2)

Nice laptop, runs the games my mom plays (as this was purchased for her). Lighter than the Dell XPS, so a plus for her.

Irritatingly loud fan is my only complaint. Otherwise it's a wonderful laptop. Hope I'll be able to make it more silent in the future...

i just hate how it shows finger prints on the lid and and on the inside, and how the keyboard doesn't seem to be the best of quality with the keys clicking if u rock them back and forth or anything.

I have a problem with writing files to a 512MB MMC card with the Card reader of the ferrari. I think the card-reader is not compatible with cards of >256MB capacity.

I think I've seen this same issue with other Acers with card readers. Try a search you should find some posts.

My mouse doesn't respond at all?

Card reader works fine on my 512MEG Memory Stick.

Bluetooth mouse sucks for gameing. For regular work it's only ok. Looks nice though.

Starting to wear off the finish on the space bar on my keyboard. Aside from that no other typing problems.

I'm happy with the laptop over all. 9/10
