Write to DVD

What type of DVD cd do you guys burn to,

I tried one of the DVD-R that I have for my powerbook but it doesn't seem to want to write to it. Do I need to use DVD+R for the Toshiba drive?

P.S. Also figured out that high pitched noise coming from my MX6. It only happens when I am running on battery, if I plug power supply back in no noise. I think it's coming from the hard drive...anyone else having this go on?

Might want to post in the support area and see what Pat has to say. I think he has a MX6.

As for DVD, I have used both the DVD-R and DVD+R. Lately, I have been using the dual layer discs as I can store a lot more on them. Just not sure what the format is on these. Will check when I get home - in 2.5 weeks.
