There seem to be a lot of amazing Asus notebooks in the works - I'd love to get a machine with an aluminum or carbon fibre chassis, color shine LCD, and a decent (X700/6600) graphics card. However, I am not interested in a Pentium-M at the moment, and would instead prefer an AMD64 or Turion processor. Is there any chance of Asus implementing an AMD solution in one of their high end notebooks? I've heard the argument that "by the time 64bit comes of age you'll have upgraded anyway". This very well may be true, but as Longhorn Beta starts soon and there are already 64bit Linux versions, I'd prefer to buy something that may give me a little extra "lead time" on my next purchase.
Anyone have some insight? Thanks a lot.
