That's what I hear; iirc, you can get up to about 5 hours on the ATI X300 equipped i9300. Probably not much more than that.
I don't think getting an 80GB vs. 60GB HD will affect battery life; getting a 7200 RPM vs. a 5400 RPM HD will probably affect your battery life slightly, though. For the processor, I'm thinking that under normal speedstep usage, a higher max clock speed that the CPU can run at won't really matter, cause it will be balanced out by the fact that, hopefully, it'll only be running at max clock speed for as long as it takes to finish a task, which means that the faster CPU's will draw a slight bit more power at peak, but will finish working a slight bit sooner, too. Unless you're just holding down your mouse button while viewing a PDF (which maxes out your CPU utilization) :P
