M55, M50 how is the backlight

after horrible experience with dell laptops, mainly screen quality i'm looking toward the M55 , M50 or tecra A5. How are toshiba screens and backlight quality, am looking for perfect no bleeding quality ala sony quality. I have chosen not to go with sony due to their flimsy s series notebooks and expensive prices. But how is the screen quality in terms of backlight, angle and color and sharpness. I have been to best buy but they have that stupid best buy program loaded on it, and the resolution isnt even native.

Also how is the m55 with 3d, if i wanted to do some very light maya on it as well as photoshop/dreamweaver/illustrator etc.. , are there any plans to bring the ati version to the states?

The reason im so anal about the screen is because im a graphic designer and its hard to do anything in photoshop when half the screen is more washed out than the other half

M55-S135 Screen

Hi. I just got my M55 with 14 inch Trubrite. It's a LOT brighter than my Dell Inspiron XPS 15.4 WUXGA. But, the viewing angle of the Toshiba is significantly worse than the Dell WUXGA... it makes me feel like it's just a brighter but cheap LCD with a very glassy/glossy finish.

How is your backlight, is there unevenness? i usually check by setting screensaver to blank and previewing. I saw the m45 at circuit city , it was labled display model, and the backlighting was perfect veiwing angle was nice, couldnt tell if the screen was on or off when black. Then i walked a few feet to another m45 looked like a floor model, horrible backlighting, bottom half was bleeding like crazy. same with the m55 model. If i bought a laptop from circuit city would they let me go scrounge through their models so i could find a good screen. I think Fry's let their customers do this.

Though almost every model i've seen of the m55 had the same backlight bleeding on the lower half.
