If you have an EPP page

I would check it. Mine says that for 2 days only our EPP discount is doubled (24% versus 12%). Maybe your's does too.
Mine says that but it's not really a good deal because there are no ongoing deals with EPP. It would be nice if you can get the $750 off and the 24%, or if you get a more expensive laptop a 35% off and the 24% off.

Well, you can get 24% off the Inspiron Outrageous Deals, and the one 9300 they have configured is $750 off plus 24%. Can I do better? These are the systems:
http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=19&l=en&s=dhs

So with 24% off that one becomes $1112 before tax/handling.

Stupid newbie question How can I take advantage of EPP? Does my employer have to offer this?

First of all, that deal is for Dell Home and not EPP, so you can't get your 24% off. Second, it's a preconfigured system. Dell is charging $250 to go from 256 RAM to 1GB RAM. You can get 2GB for under $250 from newegg. Second, it comes with 64 X300. If you're going to get the 9300, you might as well get the 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800. The best thing to do is to get the minimum on RAM, hard drive, and CD drive. Then see what coupon you can apply toward that purchase. You can get better upgrades for cheaper than what Dell is charging after you turn around and sell original parts. They are not that hard to install yourself either.

Yes, or if you go to college, you should check with them.

The same deals appear on my EPP page, so I can get 24% off.

I just saw that on my page, too. It's a heck of a deal. I say go for it. I would strongly suggest upgrading that video card for the NVIDIA 6800. The link you provided sent me to Dell Home with a preconfiguration of the 64MB X300 as the video card. There was no option to upgrade, at least when I clicked on it. However, when I went to the EPP main page and clicked on notebooks, the $750 deal was on the left column (3rd one down from the top under "Special Offers". After I clicked on the 9300 I was able to configure it with the 6800. I would have gone for it if I didn't purchase my 6000. Just upgrade the system to your liking. The 9300 is considered more of a desktop replacement, though. So, if you have to lug your computer around campus, I would suggest somthing smaller, like the 6000 or the 700m. But this deal sure looks too good to pass up.

Aw damn it I wish the 24% deal was extended another day. My dad's company got a special 33% off coupon from EPP. Was gonna use that along with the 24% off. i mean 57% off is pretty good.
Guys, the $750 off is only valid for the 9300's. If you plan on getting a 6000 or 700m, then your out of luck.

I dont think it works that way. You'd get 33% off and then you'd get 24% off from that leftover price. Its not 33% + 24% = 57% but it would still be a sweet deal if you could get it.
Okay, if I just use the 33% and 12% off, which one would be subtracted first? The 12% or 33%?
wait nvm it's the same thing.
damnit, you cant put the 6800 on the 9300 with this deal ****ers.
