Upgrading memory

Ok, I've built many many desktop PC's, first laptop here so I'm not really worried about how to install the memory. Main concern is...where is the memory DIMMs located on the AX6?

Some, I removed the two slid out covers from the back last night, found the CPU and the Hard Drive and that's basically it.

Cook,

AX6 or MX6?

Actually, I realized I gave you a drawing for the AX7. Not sure what I was thinknig. I looked at the manual for the AX6 and I didn't see anything in there for the memory. I will defer to Pat, but I am thinking it may be under the hard drives.

I wouldn't investigate until a more knowledgeable person told you though.

Thanks guys, yes it is an AX6.

Sorry for the late response, don't have internet at my new house yet (being put in this Friday).

And yeah, wanted to know where it might be before I started to dig in too far.

But yeah, it's an AX6.

Actually yeah, after I posted this I have. But was hoping that someone had some pics of this since the memory modules are located under the keyboard and I'm not exactly sure how to get under there.

Anyone know how to get to the memory modules?

The first thing you will need to do is take off the speaker panel. The easiest way to do this is to push it to the left. It should look like this when it is ready to come out.

With the panel off, you need to unscrew the two screws on the keyboard.

The SODIMMS are located beneath the small metal sheet. The picture above shows the memory banks.

If you need help please contact our support team.

That's just too sweet.

Pat. When did Hypersonic or Smooth Creations start shipping with the system covers (pillow cases). I absolutely love mine and I don't move it anywhere without putting it in there first. I noticed it was in the above pictures as well. I didn't get one with the GX7, so I was wondering when it started. DEfinitely a great additional protection to keep scuffs from the system.

I am not really sure when they started giving out the system covers with our painted systems. From what I hear, people love them.

Hey Pat, thanks so much!

I unscrewed every single screw on the back panel hoping to find something or other way to get to the memory but then got tired of looking.

This is so much easier!
