Yeah, double check to make sure that is your laptop. Is your ram in there? Maybe he or a friend of his had a 9300 that he beat on and wanted one in better shape. I wouldnt be surprised if the whole deal was a scam to get a cheap replacement. Get Him.

dont throw away the packaging with addresses and stamps /stickers by the carrier - this can be evidence that the laptop was shipped from his place - just in case .

Ok guys- I've had the laptop for a couple days now. Cleaned it up and despite a few nicks that weren't there before I sent it out (I see two, but they're very small) and the rubbed out INSPIRON letters (which I ended up taking off completely) everything seems ok. The lid opens and closes fine- I may have jumped the gun on saying it was loose.

If I decide to ever sell this, it will ONLY be in person.

However, I'm still waiting for his paypal of $142. The guy is a douchebag in my book either way.

I still haven't talked to Dell about me not being able to chat bc "I'm not a home user." I'm concerned about that.

the important thing is that your laptop is "safe" and fine..i would do a complete re-install if i were you. You never know what could be installed on that system since it was out of your hands for a couple days.....

That's the first thing I did. It was out of my hands for about a month.

Honestly I'm starting to love this laptop all over again. I just wish it were smaller

read this whole tread! man i wanna strangle this guy myself! too bad my uncle dosnt live near him! hes a 6'6 310 pound body buiding trucker he'd scare the crap out of that littl shi* !!! got his phone number??? i live near a payphone baybe we should al call this SOB to make sure dosnt get a good night sleep for work the next day or better yet if he pays u the money buy a plane ticket to SC and pay him a personal visit first stop at the walmart and buy some cheap cola in the 3 liter bottles and pour it on his bike! then throw a fricken brick through his window and be on ur merry way!
