That is a cool site, you can check in your city where are your free wi-fi hotspots:

Have fun guys and let us know if you find in your city a new spot you had no idea you could use it for free...
I know I did find few in Montreal, that I had no idea about.
My XPS2 likes them a lot...

I like to ride on the train with my laptop and try to pick up wireless signals like a madman... I try and check for WEP or lack thereof, so I can get on the internet for a minute or so.

I've only been successful at the actual train stations though, because you're never in one spot long enough to maintain a signal... but it's fun nonetheless.

I'm sure people who see me refreshing the list insanely, must think I am crazy... that, and I have a huge piece of plastic infront of me, which is pretty eye-catching.

^(ianskate): This bring's up an interesting thought...would it be worthwhile to write a sort of "demon dialer" for WiFi networks? One that kinda makes your connection sort of like a cell phone connection? Imagine just walking/driving around and more-or-less staying connected, seamlessly.

I think that it would take two (2) WiFi cards to make it seamless, though...
