I did a search on this and I didn't find anything recent so here goes:

I want to buy the new Motorola E815 cell phone because of it's bluetooth.
I will have to hack the phone to enable OBEX and directions state I need latest BT drivers for my lappy. I have the original drivers loaded on my 8890.

Anyone know of a reliable site (not Sager's) for the most recent BT module drivers??

Thanks

I just use the windows bluetooth drivers instead of the ones that came with the module. I havn't had any problems with it.

Are you referring to the windows drivers with SP2 or drivers from Microsoft website??

I'm looking for a newer bluetooth driver as well. If you find something please let me know.

The only thing I have found so far is updated software from Billionton website:

http://www.billionton.com.tw/website...1.4.2.11-B.htm

I'm not sure whether this includes new drivers or just software.

Hey Kal, sorry for the delay, forgot that I'd posted here.

I'm referring to the ones that come with SP2. I made a slipstream SP2 disk, and after installs, I just use the bluetooth drivers that are on the system.

Hal:

For all the hlep you've provided, waiting is no problem

Everytime I start my 8890, I get a message box that says: "Unable to start bluetooth stack service" My Bluetooth does work, despite this message.
I have SP2 as well. Any problem if I update the billington drivers???

Thanks as always!

Crap, sorry for the delay again. I need to start checking threads I've post in more often, hah hah.

That's a really strange error, which I've never experienced myself. You can certainly try the billingtons if you want, and if they screw up, just use the roll-back option in device manager.

Maybe check msconfig and services to make sure the bluetooth is starting appropriately?
