i'm up for playing. i also have a BF2 SERVER which i'm working on getting running. it's hosted on a pretty fast connection at a datacenter (not just a pc sitting on my desk). i can probably share the admin password for the bf2 server with those that are serious about playing but I'm not going to be able to allow any 'remote desktop' or system accounts to the server (sorry!).

i'm just waiting on the tech dudes at the datacenter to open the ports on the router. no bf recorder and probably won't allow VOIP. we could use TeamSpeak for chatting.

what do you guys think?

yeah buddy, i got you on my list too. i'll post more later once the ports are unblocked.

we'll have complete control of the server, maplist, etc. can someone post the remote console commands to this thread? things like map-switch, kick player, restart game, etc would be nice for everyone to know.

it won't be a ranked server, but it should show up on the public list and get some pub players.

Wow...I have a coupon and can get another 1 GB of DDR2 for 159 bucks from Dell.com free shipping...that would give me 2GB. Not a bad upgrade for the price huh? I highly doubt it would do anything, but still, LOL maybe I can finally answer the 1GB or 2GB Battlefield 2 question?

I would do it any way..lol. I have 2 gig in my 5500 and if any thing it will stop the voice in your head...."will more ram make this thing faster"..he he.Thats 1 thing I dont have to worry about.Thats all I can fit in there

Just stumbled upon this thread. Did a NBF BF2 server get started? Was reading some of the questions in previous replies. If this has all been answered, please forgive me.

I guess it all depends if you want your server ranked or not. If it's unranked, it'll cost a lot less. Then you'd be able to set up your own configurations. But if it's ranked, it's got to be set up with the guidelines set by EA Games. It will also cost more, depending on which server provider you choose.

I'm with a clan called Team Ten24 and we've got a BF2 ranked server set up with another clan. We split the costs. It works out pretty smoothly. We're all a bunch of good guys, no swearing (sometimes), and no disrespect and rules are strictly enforced.

But anyways, hope to see all of youse guys online sometime. Come check out our BF2 server if you get the chance.

hey keisur, I already messaged you about the missing NBF BF2 thread so thats not an issue anymore. message me later and we can get a game going. There isnt any replys to the new BF2 thread. maby no one knows whats going on with BF2 anymore. If anyone reads this and is into Battlefield check the gaming forum. look in the Battlefield 2 general section. There is a sticky thread. Post the name that your using for BF2. If you want to try the new straferight BF2 server, there is a server section there with information. Im just trying to get us all together. Even if your just playing on the first server you see, post your game name in the Motley Crew thread in the Battlefield 2 general forum (in the NBF gaming forum). we can create a Battlefield crew and create a new combined stats. It would be great to get the Alienware gamers in this. I think Straferight is going to be doing something competative. Getting the BF2 gamers together doesnt really have anything to do with that. I think you have to prove yourself to a mod for that anyways. check out the BF2 gaming forum and we can get a Battle going. The server is currently empty and ranked. If we take it over now, we will pretty much control it.

I replied to that thread at about 3:30am this morning after a BF2 Bender. You didn't wait for my reply in the PM either, I TK you in the game for that! No punishing allowed either. haha.

I can't seem to get that stupid engineering badge for repair of vehicles either! I swear on 5 maps today alone I had like 20 repair points per map at least.

keisur, my friend. i was on tacticalgamer.com last night at the same time as you. i kept posting "HELLO BOLAS" in the global chat, but I guess you either a) didn't see it b) saw it and didn't recognize me c)saw it, recognized me and are too shy to say hello back or d) saw it, recognized it and quietly wished I would stop saying hello.
Well, which one is it?

You were pwnin me on the Kubra map, I've been out of practice for a while, that and tank always beats medic bag.
