1 month delay for all T43's

I know there are a few of you who are members of thinkpad forum also, but nothing has been said about this on notebook forums.

I just got off the phone with a sales rep, and talked to him about the status of my T43. He said that all of the T43's are delayed and mine should be shipped and in my hands in about one month (august 22).

Downside is I need that laptop ready to go around the 15th.
It's too bad that this is happening, although from what I read thier ship dates and everything are fairly conservitive so I'm just wishing for the best now!

For the record I ordered it July 11.

Anyone else have a delay on anyother thinkpad models?

I ordered a T43p with a one month delay and got it in around a week. Dunno if that means it's not really that long or im a special case...

Sht! i hope mine is in an earlier shipment or something....
I ordered mine the 10th....and I NEED it by aug 1. Every day after that will be a big inconvenience, I really hope I don't have to wait until the 22nd.

UPDATE: Mine says it is in packing!! Maybe that 30min phone call sped things up =)

UPDATE: It says that it shipped!!
The track it link doesn't work, but hopefully they sent the numbers to the email address that they were given.

Mine says shipped too! Woohoooooo

I was about to get mad if yours shipped before mine, but I just checked my email to find a shipping notice.

I'm not getting my hope up Too much, though...I got the email, and IBM's order status page says shipped, but Lenovo's order status page does Not say shipped. I hope IBM's is right...
I don't think it matters about the UPS number, it never works at first with them. It either takes them a few days to update it, or they put out a number because they are notified it is Going to be shipped, not necessarily when it is actually shipped. Whatever it is, UPS shipments are always like that.

yea I have been checking through the Lenovo website and that is where it sas shipped...

I actually have only had to shipments come to me from UPS that I have used tracking numbers. So thanks for the information, more of a fedex guy

hmm thats odd i orderd mine on the 7th of july which was a thursday and they shipped it on a saturday and was in my hands on the following tuesday.........even thoug they told me that the estimated ship date was 07/21/05..........i even called them to make sure there wasnt amixup alll they told me that usually all orders get shipped much in advance than the estimated ship date but sometimes they get shipped a lil late
