Intel Price Drop and Sager

How is the new 780 P-M coming out and the price drop on the other P-Ms going to affect Sager's pricing on the 3880? How soon after it is released on 7/24 will their prices drop?
I'm looking to buy one very soon and want to figure out if it is worth it to wait a little longer (I need to order within a week and a half) or not.

Same situation with me.

they'll probably will drop only in august =D

I bought my 3880 yesterday from discountlaptops.com via eCheck (takes 3-4 days to process) and I received an email from the sales department that they were expecting a price drop early next week. They also told me that I would have the choice of upgrading or receiving a partial refund for the difference. I thought that was very noble of them.

That is correct, the price drop is expected to go through next week. As a courtesy we are currently holding all orders that will be affected by this price drop unless we are otherwise notified by our customers.

Thanks for the information Luke. I guess this means that I will be ordering from you next week.

man i hate when this happens =/
the 9880 is going to be wayyy cheaper

Why? 9880 does not have a P4 Mobile (P4 M) cpu, how will this make the p4 9880 cheaper?

The Pentium 4-M is a defunct chip, anyways, and it also wouldn't be affected by the price cut.

woody, because they do a price drop on all their products except new releases =/

PC Torque has updated their prices, but now it seems like you can only get the P-M 760 or 770 with the WUXGA screen. I want to get the 3880 with the 760 but I would prefer very much to get a WSXGA+ or WXGA screen. Will this be possible or will I have to settle for a slower processor so I can get a different screen?
