I have three systems from Alienware, and they are flawless. I hang out at Alienware's forums, and I recognize some of these whiners, don't believe a word they say.
Like any computer company, there are some problems with hardware, but Alienware has put a ton of effort in improving all aspects of their business, and it shows.
They've grown incredibly, and I won't deny they've had some growing pains, but I've never dealt with a better computer company in my time, and I'm an Alienware customer for life.
Most of the whining I see over at Alienware, some of which I recognize here, is because people can't accept their warranty is expired, and they want service long past Alienware's obligation.
Alienware has it's own phone center now in Costa Rica, in order to serve their customers better. The rest of the company is in Florida.
You also get lifetime upgrades at a serious discount, so upgrade time is relatively painless. Sorry some people don't have great experiences off the bat, but most everyone that posts in their customer support forums eventually state they are satisfied and will purchase from Alienware again.
Except for the whiners that is...
Get an Alienware then come join us in the forums. We only ignore the stooges.
