Why so many alienware haters on the net?? - Page 3

aurora,

Ouch!

1. Excuse me I thought the topic was why was there so much negative info about AW on the WWW.
2. I tried to point out that I can find confusion about AW and "**********" on the WWW.
3. I tried to point out that it depended on one's definition of "**********."
4. I also tried to point out that whether a company locates it's CS in another country or not that company policies concerning CS issues would remain the same.
5. I am not alone in being concerned when a company goes outside our borders to provide services but in the case of CS functions I think it makes no difference. CS employees simply follow established policy. Redphyve points out that he has only had one problem related to AW that was apparently a communication issue related to someones accent.
6. I tried to point out that I WOULD have some concern should technical support be relocated outside the USA. Other companies have done this and I think it has changed the quality of the support they can provide.

I'm sorry if I did not make myself clear and I apologize to AW and to all the other forum members.

No offense, but do you have a spellchecker?

Correction: I may have been misunderstood but here with more detail is what I meant:

The misunderstanding had nothing to do with accents or any language barriers, it was purely an internal nis-communication between AW-Europe Repair and Tech-Support divisions, and was sorted out by AW with no hassles and at their expense to my complete satisfaction...again, nothing to do with accents, just a internal error which they rectified to my satisfaction.

14adams,

Please re-read all your posts since you took an aurora spanking like a little baby.

If you would lay back and think about what you are saying..."ridicarous" as Donna Changstein once said...

Well there was this 3 ft tall Costa Rican cage fighter with a flat head and fold back teeth. . .

Actually, quite a few enterprises run part of their business in Costa Rica. Intel for example, has a manufacturing plant there.

The type of outsourcing some companies like Dell or HP do is to third party companies and call centers that have nothing to do with them except for the contract of taking calls.

All of Alienware's facilities are 100% Alienware.

Don't they grow bigger bananas in Costa Rica?

I heard so too. I also heard that their trees make larger nuts.

By the way. I love you Hammerhead.
I kinda figured this was a "Hammerhead's an ass" post.

Read your own definition you retard.

"Outsourcing is the delegation of tasks or jobs from internal production to an external entity (such as a subcontractor)."

All the employees at the call center in sales, tech support, and customer service work for Alienware in a building that's owned by Alienware.

The generally accepted definition of outsourcing, including the numerous blatherings you provided include a subcontractor, or separate company. This is not the case with Alienware.

That's right. Outsourcing means different things to different people. Read my post if you want to, but the point is that there are many definitions of "outsourcing." The IRS turns claims that are outside the continental US to Puerto Rico. Is that "outsourcing." It sure seems that way when you try to communicate with the Puerto Rican agent.

The topic is AW bashing on the WWW. Some complaints seem based on AW customer service. Does locating it in Costa Rica matter? They are just following AW policies. If you don't like them don't buy AW stuff. If people follow directions or if people are eligible for rebates, special deals, warrenty work, etc. etc. etc.; it seems to me that AW provides it whether their customer service is in Miami or not.

So...... Is there a basis for that sort of "bashing." I don't think so.

Would AW relocate their tech support to the 3rd world? I hope not. I think that could be a problem.
As a matter of fact, for a short time Alienware did outsource their support to a company in California. The support was so inadequate, Alienware set up the call center so everyone you talk to for support, sales or service is an Alienware employee.

What possible reason other than starting fights do you continue to post in this section?

Why is Commish16 allowed to continue to post in this forum?

I have a list of actual complaints against the commish. I'll talk with Craig and see what he has on his end.
