Which one would be better for say web design and graphic work. But portability has to be there too, but im not going to be on airplanes or anything. But i need a perfect screen which is why i chose sony, though both laptops seem hot on the palm rest.

I would suggest going with the S series instead of the FS. I just made the same decision myself when I decided on a S460 over the FS "equivalent." While it was nice that the FS I was looking at had a TV tuner built in on a dongle along with PVR (Tivo-like) software for recording TV shows on a schedule, the small size and great battery life of the S simply beat out the few additional perks that the FS series had. I was replacing a monster of an HP laptop with this Sony - the battery life on my old HP was 50 minutes if I was lucky - and I've been VERY happy with the S series Vaio.
One other condition I had on the laptop was that it fit in my backpack-sized case so I can carry the computer with me to classes at the university I attend. The FS series was just too wide for it to fit properly, though it was thinner and lighter than my old HP, which fit the case fine.
I guess the bottom line recommendation I have for you - if you plan to use it 95% of the time in the exact same place and move it maybe once every week or once every other week, get the FS. If you will be taking it on the go on a daily or semi-daily basis, get the S.

Look like we have many things in comment:
- I'm confused in choosing FS or S
- I'm doing a lot of graphic design, even though I'm not a designer.
* S series' screen is way too small --> doing graphic on it is just isn't right at all. I hardly can do my school stuffs on it since the screen wasn't designed to view 2 windows side by side
* FS series, on the other hand, is a much better choice since the screen is bigger, keyboard is easy to type and has plenty extra space. The design is awsome and its portability is more than enough for you to carry 4hrs/day, 364 days/ yr without any prob. -- Sony is giving out extended battery with no charge when you customize online so take this chance. The FS6xx has a lot of correction like the buzzing noise inside the monitor + low battery life...

@alsj411: well, I think it's a bit small though. The 17" desktop sometimes makes me get real mad because of those controller stand in the way --> going down to 13" or something will def not a good choice for people like me. With a 13", how many % of the screen will be the controllers for Photoshop and how many % left will be for you work? Besides, my glasses are enough, I don't want it to grow bigger any time soon.
