Back up CD and Customer Service

Just got my inspiron 6000 and there is no option to make back up cd (Windows + all drivers) on the program menu as you guys said, for some reason Dell delete it, maybe because they want to charge $10 for it. Anyhow, is there any another way to do that with my new arrival laptop?
BTW, Dell customer service really sucks as you guys said too, spent 2 hours at least today try to talk to people about this issue, and the result is:
1. the Indian guy may send me a CD next week (maybe, who knows...)
2. "we do not know that issue, let me check, hold on a minute...let me transfer you to software department"
3. "would you buy our software plan so our technician can help you on that..."

Did you reboot it? It doesn't show up on the first boot.

Remember that if you follow those directions (^), it will include all the bloatware that Dell includes on the system.

Well, those step-by-step directions for creating the automatic bootable backup disc has been simplified for those who are not very computer savvy. Therefore, I made no mention of uninstalling/installing apps prior to the backup.

As you said, you would be better off formatting the drive to rid it of the Dell bloatware and then install all the apps you use before creating the backup disc.

Even better would be to create the initial 'first-boot' backup and still format the drive, install a better OS like Windows2003 and then create another automatic bootable backup disc.

Make sure you check after you reboot it. I've heard that the shortcut doesn't appear during the first boot. Will check when I get home.
