WXGA+ is 1400x1050, I think, while WSXGA+ is 1680x1050 and WUXGA is 1920x1200.

Something like that. WXGA<WSXGA+<WUXGA, but some people can't handle high resolutions in small screens (text sizes.)

Actually WXGA for the 17" is 1440x900.

WXGA+ not the WXGA.

There's no VAT in my case , I'm getting a friend that owns a business to buy it. So that's £850 for me, plus whatever it takes to get 1GB of RAM. The screen of the 3438 is 1440x900, and the 4438 has 1920x1200. Personally, I think WUXGA is a little too high.
