Almost the end of the month and no news on the z70v refresh yet :-(

Well, about 1 week left until the end of July and there has no news on the upcoming Asus z70v "refresh" yet.

Anxiously waiting.

Anyways, they're supposed to be hitting the ports on July 27th (or was it 24th?), but they won't make it to the resellers until after they've gone through customs. All we can do is wait...

The date that wasn't even set in stone was the 27th, and that was the day that it was going to arrive in the US (meaning it still have the choire of passing through customs/HLS). The only thing that can be done is just wait for a reseller to come out with pictures of them testing it before they offer them online (or in ISTNC's case, send them out to the people who oredered it).

A little off topic but does anyone know when the intel price drop for the pentium m processors will be? I heard it was the end of the month also and I was just wondering if the refresh would have the new prices.

Price drops were yesterday. It will take the resellers a couple of days to start selling the cpus at their new price. Canadasys already has them marked down. They actually did it 2 days ago!

"Z70va - 128mb ATI x700 / built-in bluetooth model in the Z70 series is delayed until the begining of September

Z81sp - 256mb Nvidia 6800 / P4 / 15.4" model based on the A4 chassis doesn't have an ETA yet, but two pieces of information were released about it today...... it's going to be 9 pounds (yes, thats not a misprint) and it's going to be expensive..... as a barebone, it'll be about 35% more than a Z70v/Z71v barebone..... The only benefit is that the cpu's will be cheaper as P4's are cheaper then P-M's .....

Sorry to spoil a few of your dreams, but that was just handed down the pipe about 5 minutes ago. Of course, if anything changes I'll be posting about it. We've got plenty of the Z70va's on order from the first shipment, so if they show up, they show up... We were just told not to expect that shipment before September now."
