Because there is more that 1 set of patches out there, I recommend you edit step 3 and explicitly name the files used and whose version of the files you used.

I'm having problems going into Standby Mode with the patched Widcomm drivers. The only way I can put my XPS2 into Standby Mode is to hit FN+F2 to disable both Bluetooth and WIFI. I never had this problem with the original Dell drivers. But the Widcomm drivers are WAY better than the Dell drivers. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem and if anyone's found a simpler solution.

Wonka...I just resent the file. Check your email and let me know if you got it.

Ok, here's the Yousendit link. Not sure if everyone can download it at once, but here it is...

Hey

This is a POST OF SUCCESS. I first didnt know what people were talking about dissing the Toshiba stack, it seemed to work fine. But lag on my MS explorer BT 2.0 (new version) started to occur after 20 minutes of use. My problems were compounded when connecting my BT x50v (pda), my BT phone and my BT headset. The mouse went horroibly jumpy and things went crazy. This was when I realized that the toshiba stack was a POS.

I messed around with the widcomm stack and finally got it working after installing it from here and then using patches from google for my version. Everything works a treat and I am now surfing with my PDA via a bluetooth connection from my 9300 and the mouse is smoooooth! I want to thank all you genius hackers/patchers and people who write the guides for sorting these things out becuase I am a NOOB and wouldnt know where to start.

Thanks for posting your helpful comments!

Just a quick Question. Anyone know how many processes the widcomm drivers run?

is this with the patched files already?

Ok. thanks to the person who did the usendit.

PS: Can someone post a proper patched archive and appropriate setup instructions?

I am a little confused between several people talking about and searching and finding different versions of the stack, the patches and the ways they are FIXING the patches.

Not that I could not engineer and try to figure it out but then whats the point of the shared knowledge. I'll try to solve another problem instead of re-inventing the wheel.

PS: BTW I dont think theres anything illegal about instructions on 'fixing' things. Re-engineering or reverse engineering is an issue for tha person performing it and not the instructions.

So if someone creates a patch for GTA - San Adreas its the person who applies it thats responsible.

Here are the directions that Martian gave me and they made the drivers work flawlessly. Martian is not saying you have to do this. It's just mere instructions. All credit goes to Martian for these.

Bad move man, Its martians perogative whether or not he wants it on there. And seeing as how he has posted in this thread before and has not posted the instructions, I assuming he doesn't want those instructions up for the world to see....

What if hes gone and can't tell you he doesn't want them up there???
ok...i removed them
So, if you're using the WIDCOMM drivers, do you use My Bluetooth Places to interact with them? Or is there some kind of software?
u use My Bluetooth Places...i like it much better than that bluetooth information exchanger thing that i had b4
post #59 of 109
so can someone email / PM those 'quoted' and then 'removed' instructions ?

I know now that you get the jitters posting it.

Just download the package I sent to wonka on Yousendit and run the setup. That's it...just make sure you uninstall the Tosh stack first.
