the images on my i9300 look weird. For example images with fades... The fades dont look like fades they look like big blocks of color "Trying" to fade. Or when windows is starting the little light on the top left looks like if the pc display settings was set to 16bit colors...

Is this a video card setting?? color setting? i got wxga+ with ATI Radeon x300 128.

then what seems to be the problem??? i had to lower the contrast to 80 to becouse it was too damn bright. this should not be a problem i think tho... and when i change it back to 100, still looks the same

Can you plug in an external monitor and see if it looked messed up on that screen too? Have you set your color depth to 32 bit in the display properties control panel?

FYI, 16 and 32-bit are color depth numbers, not picture quality numbers.

Unless you meant 16-bit as in blocky SNES, then I retract, lol.

I had the same exact problem, but it went away right after i changed my dpi to 96. Are you sure its at 96? It does come stock to 120. Did you restart after changing your dpi settings?

Windows XP boot screen is 4bit (16 colors.) Don't know what you mean by "the little light on the top left," sorry.

Ok... I have it set to 96 dpi and to 32bit. On display setting.. tho it looks weird.... I dont mean the boot up screen... i mean the you see the welcome blue screen when windows is loggin in... theer is a bright white, that looks like a light spot on the top left corner.... well it doesnt look like a nice gradient... u can see the blocks of colors trying to make the gradient...

I have a good example... for all of you that have an 9300... go to macromedia.com .... the background of this site has a gradient color (fading from grey to white / top to bottom) .. well when this gradient is getting to white, u can se the block of lines making the gradient look weird.

Bah... i regret saying that... i tryied on my desktop... it looks just like that with my CRT monitor.... Just on the 9300 is more noticable... this happens with alot of pics. some are more noticable than others.

By the way, do you have a WXGA+ or WUXGA screen on your i9300? Are you just noticing the natural aliasing (jaggedness) of lines on your LCD screen @ your resolution?

Try using firefox, on mine in IE things look horrible. Switched to Firefox and its much more smooth.
