Although I think I paid a little too much for mine, about $1600, I'm fairly happy with it., and I'm sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
You can get it customized from the website to suit your needs; mine is:
1.6hz, 1GB DDR RAM, 256MB X600, 60GB HDD, 8xDVD+/-RW Multifunction Drive.
It runs fine, only trouble I have with it, is that IPX doens't seem to be working properly. I think it actually could be a driver fault. I'm going to ring TOSHIBA on monday and ask them about it.. Otherwise, no other complaints./.. Oh, except that the media control buttons on it don't work with Winamp.
The Harman/Kardon speakers are nice, great screen, and its able to run games. It also comes in three colours.
It's a good 14", not too big, not too small. It's fairly light too.
Everything seems to be working well with it, the screen is fine, no dead pixels, the buttons are good and stable.
I recommend, if you choose to buy one, to get a 12-cell lithium battery. Due to my 256MB X600, it drains power very quickly. I can get just over 2hours if i'm just surfing the net and listening to music. About 1hour if I'm playing games.
