Help w/ Raid config on XP install

Thread Starter
Hi there, I'm trying to install Windows XP on my Sager 8790...

I currently have two 60gb hard drives in raid 0, so I did as the manual advised and downloaded the raid drivers to a floppy disk and used a usb floppy drive to upload the drivers during the install of XP. I selected WinXP Promise Fasttrak 100 Lite Controller and proceeded to the next screen, where it asks if I want to install Windows XP, however, when I click to continue, it says "the hard drives were not located." Any insight would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

Take at look at this: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=86331

I beleive that the drives on the floopy have to be extracted a particular way. Can't remember if they were in a folder or the floppy's root area.

I have done it a few times. You should have on your floppy, a winxp folder with the raid drivers in it and the following files in the root of A:\

FASTTRAK
TXTSETUP.OEM
WINXP (FOLDER WITH RAID DRIVERS)

Boot with floppy in it, enable in bios to boot from floppy, hit F6 at windows install blue screen to add raid drivers for install.

Let me know if you have any problems.
