well I found that configuration at

www.expressnotebook.com ...which I find to be the most resonable....but I think its made by a company called "ECS" but also goes under the name "Winbook" which has been around for years and gotten rave reviews...but expressnotebooks is the only company configuring it with ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro, 800 FSB frequency Supports dual DDR400 memory

its a real screamer and looks awesome also

Interesting that their Support Drivers Download links back to Sagernotebooks.com (the URL says expressnotebook, right-click and look at properties). Compare prices closely and bear in mind what kind of support you'll REALLLLY get later. Good luck!

DO NOT get a WINBOOK.

They were the first company I looked at for a 'book over a year ago and they HAD good reviews for awhile but went sour. BAD, BAD, customer service and relations, they will not honor the warranty, etc.

I had a winbook X1 3 years ago. Was one of the first 14.1TFT 1in notebooks. 5 months after i bought it the new DVD/CDRW combo drives came out. I called winbook to ask if they could install it in my current configuration. They offered to let me send back my notebook, they would refund the money and let me configure the new one. They also gave me free shipping. On top of that they let me keep my current winbook until my new one arrived, even though they refunded my money. There was a 5 week lead time on the X1 at the time, however i got mine in 3 DAYS!!! So, if anyone has a better customer service experience with any pc manufacturer i would love to hear it, cause in my opinion that is as good as it gets. The Winbook people were extrememly friendly and helpful to me. Hope that hasnt all gone down the tubes in the last few years.

I do noot know if you guys noticed that the lp has a SIS chipset. Acording to some other trades, SIS does not support dual channel memory. You cannot compare it to an Intel Board. I still believe to be a good lp, but with SIS.

Well I'm not quite sure what you’re referring to because if you found this information in the hardware specifications link...I don’t see the 736 information in there....this link shows all sager chip sets..The 736 computers we bought are not sager..They are ECS

Please enlighten me

Nick

AlkalineX, I'd really like to see some pics and hear some comments when you get your 736-XD. I'm considering it myself.
I'm wondering if it is just a renamed Sager 8890.
This is the link given previously.

http://www.ecs.com.tw/products/pd_sp...product_id=363

As you can see is SIS chipset, unless the links is not for the laptop. It appears to be. Let me know.
What is wrong with SIS? On the Expressnotebook.com site I directly copied this "800 FSB frequency Supports dual DDR400 memory"
Hey, don't get me wrong. It is an economical solution to the Intel chipset. Read this article, there are many on the WEB.

http://www.gamingin3d.com/articles/sis648fx/

But like I said, it does not support dual-channel memory.
