IBM pricing on notebooks

Hey all,

I was wondering does IBM offer any student pricing for university or college students? It'd be awesome if they did. I tried searching around on IBM Canada's website (since I'm Canadian) with no such luck. I read on a post by someone that they got their thinkpad for cheap due to "EPP". Can anyone elaborate more on that?

Thanks for your help.

Your specific school has to have a deal with ibm. I called ibm and asked if my school had a deal, and they said yes and gave me the address on ibm's site for my school. I got $200 off through that, but certainly try to get epp if you can.

Ahh.. i'll try the school thing.. but who knows if my school does. I think they went and signed on with Dell. Those bastards. Let's hope the person is nice enough to give me EPP if I asked them realllllll nice like. unless someone has a name that they're willing for me to pop down.. hah. I can see it now..
"Hi. I want this thinkpad.. I know John.... *pause* Smith..in.... heimer. Yes, I know John Smithinheimer that works for IBM. Can I get the EPP? "

If your particular school doesn't have a deal, you should still be able to get it through the educational site at a slight discount. It's not like EPP's 35% off but it's still better than nothing.

So if I know some people working for IBM how do I get them to help me get a laptop at EPP prices?

Some times schools have discounts arranged with PC makers. Look here on the Lenovo site for student pricing.
