i am using kubuntu, but i want to experiment with some other GUI's. i apt-get'd fluxbox and enlightenment, but i cant figure out how to get them to load. i tried restarting and changing the session type, but only default, kdesktop, and failsafe showed up. how do i add these other GUI's to the login manager screen? (i only have kdm, do i also need a new login manager?)

hmm.....they should be added automatically if you installed everything correctly. at one point i had Gnome, KDE, and Fluxbox installed on my Ubuntu install and as i installed KDE and Fluxbox, the options were added in the "Sessions" section of the login screen.

I havent worked with the latest versions of linux but I would guess that there is a file in /etc that configures the menu. It might even be in your home directory just be set to invis just do a ls -a to see your .files they tend to be teh conf files.

I would do a search on the internet to get the specifics for your login manager.
