64MB X600, Fujitsu, Asus, and more...

I'm currently weighing getting either the Asus z70 refresh when it comes out or the E8000D or the N3500 laptops. I don't care much about a TV tuner or any of that stuff, the most important thing is getting a laptop that is under 7 pounds that is still fairly powerful and has a nice screen. My main concern is whether a 64MB x600 on the fujitsus will be enough for AOE3, Civ4, BF2, CS:S, and other more-or-less moderate gaming, or whether there is any other real reason to hold out for the Asus. Any thoughts?

btw, the E8000 and the other are fujitsus.

actually, i'm going to simplify my questions

1) How big a deal is the jump from a 64MB x600 to a 128MB x700?

2) Is there any reason to get the Asus over the Fujitsus? Do either have any particular strengths?

i'd say the 128 x700 is roughly 2 times better than the x600... the x600 should handle the games listed... but not on highest settings.... I'd say Asus build quality is a bit nicer... but you wouldnt be disappointed with either... the fujitsu screens ive seen are amazing but ive also heard the z70 screen is one of the best matte screens.. and fujitsu's CV screens are glossy so i'd say if you want more performance or you dont like the glossy screen go with the Z70... if you love the glossy screen and dont mind a performance drop go with fujitsu... and the asus is better looking imo

If your main concern is gaming, get a laptop with the best video card so go with Asus, but fujitsu will definitely handle those games.
