Battlefield 2 + Audigy 2 = Blue Screens, & Morse Code

Okay, ever since I installed battlefield 2 I have been getting crashes during the game, related to sound card issues that everyone is having. I am not here to complain about the crashes, I can live with that... but after a while my computer began doing a very loud beep whenever I would reboot after a crash, and now it has changed to very loud "morse code" sounding beeps, 16 beeps in 8 beep intervals. This occurs whenever I start up my computer at all and is driving me crazy. It's seriously loud enough to wake up my sister sleeping in the room next door, and when school starts there's no way I will be able to bring it to class. BTW the beeps come out of the computer somewhere, not out of my speakers. Does anyone know what the heck happened, and how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Those beeps are letting you know your system has a hardware problem ..

Not sure if this is the correct beep codes or not .. If it is then I'd say memory or video card is bad ..

You can run the Dell diagnostics to see if it can pinpoint it or not ..

How do I "reset the DIMM modules" and make sure they are running at the correct rated speed?

To reseat your memory just open the hatch, and remove and reinstall your memory. The memory goes in like a hinge, that meaning insert into slot at about a 45 degree angle and then press down until the memory latches.

To test your memory in my opinion you should get MemTest86.

It can be found here --> http://www.memtest86.com/

When you download you will be downloading and ISO. So you will have to burn an image. Create the image and boot to the CD. The testing will begin automatically. If you have a memory problem MemTest will identify it.
