I posted this in another thread but wanted to make a note of it on its own. Whatever shape or form the new iBook revisions take they'll be covered by Amazon's seemingly perpetual rebate offers for their Mac machines. (and yes u have to buy it new from amazon and not one of the other resellers on their site )

CORRECTION:
The new rebates are for the older model iBooks (i.e.- 12" M9623LL/A model vs. the new M9846LL/A). If my eyes are working right, they are being offered for $899 plus the mail in rebate, so $799 for a last gen 12" iBook. Not bad

i'd expect they'll start offering rebates once their last gen stock is whittled thru. if i remember right, it's how they did it in january when the new PBs came out, and took less than a week to sell thru the old PBs.
