$50 difference. Man I'm being so cheap, even though my parents are paying for the laptop.

You sound like me
My parents bought the Z70v refresh as my b-day gift and I was still worried not to make it too expensive, but then my dad told me to get the 2ghz, its only $50 and you know...its *2* lol

Sorry for the double post

If your parents don't mind, I would go for the 2.0 . It may not be a huge performance difference, but why not go for the better one when you can. Looking at your sig, that's going to be one sweet laptop.

Simmonz, ut sure will, get ready for a big review and MANY MANY MANY pictures once it gets here

I'd buy the 2.0GHz. Gives you a little bit extra power and a little bit extra life to the system before its no longer mainstream.

For $50, I'd definately go with the 2.0. Usually, 2.0s are $100 or more in difference.

For $50 I too say go for the 2.0. Now if it were like $150 It would not be worth it to me.

Yeah for $50.00, i'll go for it.

i'll reiterate what everyone's saying...yes, go for it!

Don't go for it.

(No, really go for it, I just like being different)

Thanks, I'm going for it, even my parents think I should.

just a nuts and bolts question...is the 2.0 a 533mhz FSB Dothan? the price difference i'm seeing between a 533 1.86Ghz and a 533 2.0 Ghz is ~$200. the 2.0 you're seeing for "only" $50 more is likely the 2.0 version w/ 400Mhz FSB. afaik, there's not a huge performance gain w/ the 533, but thought u might want to be aware of the difference.

It's between the 533mhz versions, not the 400mhz. I'm referring to the price difference on ISTNC. There's no huge performance gain, though I will use the laptop for the next 4 years which plays a large part in this.
