Hey guys, I'm at work, and I dont have my comp with me, but I'm wondering how I can check which screen I have. Is it listed in Settings in the Display menu? THere are 2 types, correct? LG and Samsun? I've had my 9300 just for the weekend, but so far it r0x, no screen 'sparkles' or what not. Just curious to see what type I have. I DO have the light leakage of d00m, but it's only noticeable when the computer loads. I dont notice during games, which is all I care about.... I might get distracted from headshotting terrorists (and hostages) if I have light leakage all up in my game display.

Download powerstrip, you can get the manufacturer from that.
Also, check your invoice on Dell's website under your account info. usually you can access a detailed list of your compy's components - including screen manuf.
Also, easy way to check when you get home - turn the brightness all the way down. Then check to see how many increments of brightness you have avaliable. If you have 7 different brightness levels, its an LG. IF you have 8, its a Samsung.

I don't think you need to download powerstrip to see.
Just click start
Right click My Computer
click properties
Click on the hardware tab
click on Device Manager
click on the "+" on Monitors
right click on "Plug and Play Monitor"
Click on properties
click on details tab
If you see SEC it's a samsung, if you see LPL it's an LG. I think it's LPL not sure but SEC is samsung.
