9860 card reader is acting up

out of the blue, i insert an working ms pro memory stick into the correct slot and it just gets stuck in autoplay mode. it will show the windows autoplay screen, then will close that window, then show the autoplay screen again and keeps cycling like this. i cannot access the memory stick even through windows explorer.

any ideas? it was working fine a few days ago.

the memory stick is a Sandisk brand 1 gig version. the smart media card format slot works, though.....

bah! nevermind. i don't need no stinking help. i figured it out! turns out that the stupid camera did not format the ms pro card correctly or something like that and the card reader would not read it. it looks like i have to format the card with the camera, and then take at least a picture of video so something can be on the card or else the card reader may not recognize it. wierd.

4 hours of diagnosing and stressing out for nothing....
