Ouch, that seems like a lot longer than the end of July ETA. :-/

If that's true I'm going to kill someone... I need this thing for school.

Argh, what are they thinking? They could make a killing if they got it in in time for class...

This is going to cause some people to get the z70v instead. I guess they want to sell more z70v.
I think that this is their strategy to sell more of the z70v. It is psychology 101.

I am sticking to my gun and will wait further.

This is indeed bad news.

Yeah... I went with the z70v. School starts in August for me, and I don't want a new toy when I need to study!

Alright guys... I'm sure they are WELL aware of school scheduals and nothing would please them more then to make everyone happy. Lets just give this some more time... because thats all we can really do.

Well, keep in mind that chances are they might have a large stock of existing z70v. Replacing it now will cause them to lose money

Z70va delayed....Now what do I do?

I came to these forums unsure of what i wanted, and was infromed by you all of the Asus Z70. I was ready to buy the refresh but now its delayed, what other alternatives do i have

I want a 15.4 widescreen and a decent videocard is a plus. I would really miss the bluetooth as it was something I would use. I also like the style and the second battery.

I may just get the nonrefreshed version, but anyone have any other ideas??
Should I stay or should I go?

Well, the Z70va situation is ever-changing, you never know if something happens that re-establishes an earlier ETA.

With that said, if you can stand a X600, just get the Z70V w/ a bluetooth adapter. If you cant...you might want to try the Z71V if you think you can handle the infamous sparkly screen.

I doubt any delays are purposeful. Asus wants to make sure their products all work well and as advertised. If they catch something wrong, they have to fix it. And that takes time.

I would actually rather see the W2 come out soon..

for a clear majority of Z71v owners the screen sparkle is simply not an issue. I believe chuck232 said it best that it may bug you if you need to look closely at individual pixels, but for all other purposes, the screen's fine.
