Latest Best Drivers for the ATI9700-256Mb ?

I have the Sager 8790 with the ATI Mobility 9700 with 256Mb of ram, and running XP pro. Just wanted to know what are the latest proven drivers that work with the Sager's.
I am still using the latest Sager video drivers ( 8.04 )

Modified Catalysts work best for me. Get the catalyst drivers then download Mobility Modder from http://www.driverheaven.net.

If those don't work for you try the Omegadrivers which can be obtained from the link on www.driverheaven.net or by going directly to http://omegadrivers.net/

Both sets of drivers are newer than the ones on Sagers website, offer fixes to technical issues which existed when the catalysts were modified by Sager for your laptop (or for issues in games newer than the catalysts) and generally seem to perform better for me.

Omega's are usually 1 or 2 generations behind ATI's but won't need any modifying to work.

Hope this helps,

Ronin

I like the official catalysts - i'm going to update to the 5.7s tonight after work. I recommend going to www.tweakguides.com - that guy will tell you everything you could possibly need to know about getting your system running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. he has a whole ati tweak guide in which he holds your hand through the whole clean install process. before i went there i couldn't get battlefield 2 to run at all on my notebook - but after going through his windows xp tweak guide, following his directions for updating motherboard and bios drivers, and following instructions on the ati catalyst tweak guide, the game is running like a dream and my notebook seems to be running more efficiently in general. i highly recommend it...
