No sound coming from new TV tuner, how do I fix?

I recently bought the AverMedia UltraTV USB 300 tv tuner, the only problem is that I don't get any sound. I have the audio out going into the microphone jack in my 9300, which should work but it doesnt. I think this is a driver issue. I tried downloaded the latest drivers from dell, but it didnt work. What is weird though is I can record the TV and it will play back WITH sound...

Any ideas?

Get hold of RobsTV--he'll set you up right. I'm sure he's messed with this device (among many like it). You could PM him...

that bar next to the play/stop/etc. controls.. that's not volume is it? lol turn it up!

you probably should be using line-in and not mic-in at least if you want stereo sound. and your mic-in is probably muted.

btw, do u actually need to hook up another cable for audio? I use my Leadtek WinFast TV USB2.0 Deluxe tuner and all I need to do is hook up the USB and I'm set.
