Why mod or remove foil?
With clever firm/software tweaking, I am happy to report that I crossed the 7000 barrier!
I got 7013 points in 3DMark05!
(Took me a few benches though and only succeeded to get that score once above 7000 barriere.)

Darkwolf,
What drivers were you using when you pulled a 7013 off, also what core speed and memory speed. Why didnt you post it on futuremarks database or some screen shots? Also did you use a LOD tweak to pull off the extra points.
Not that I dont believe the score just want to see what you did to pull it off.
7013

Checked the core today, sorry to say that it dosnt have a g-72 on it.
The code on my ultra says (N1-7644.00 050 9b1)
I still think it may be a disguised 7 series chip by the way these things overclock. Also the way that it throttled the core up in 3 steps (450-495-546) when we auto overclocked. We need someone that knows there way around a 7 series bios to look it over and compare it to the desktop 7800 series bios. Im going to start a thread over at www.extremsystems.org to see if these guys want to jump into it with us.
Later,
Josh

A very good air conditioner solves the heat issue.

i'll buy that... BUT he said idlin', so i was thinkin' it wasn't just a "special setup" kinda thing like for the monster 3DM05... *hopin'*

Yo, Yeoman, what do you have it underclocked to? i've tried the PowerMizer set to "max power saving" but it barely lowers my temps... hadn't really tried true underclockin'...
