For the Love of "Boxing"???

Anyone else have their order stuck in "Boxing"? My XPS Gen2 order has been stuck there for 3 days now... You would think putting the laptop into the box would take less than 10 mins

My last order didn't take this long too... All Dell can say is they have no idea why it has been stuck there... Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem.

Mines been stuck there for a day. I CAN'T STAND IT! It took them 3 hours to do everything else, why can't they just place it in the freakin box.

I just ordered 2 XPS Gen 2s for resale, and they're both stuck in Kitting. I feel your pain.

Boxing is not just putting the computer in a box. It includes shipment from Malaysia to the US. That usually involves 3 days.

Nothing like a little Malaysian labor to get the good ol' US Economy jumping.

Ohhh! I didn't realize they were shipping the computers from outside the U.S.! Duh! I should have realized there was something wrong with my order in "Boxing" for so long. Thanks larryc2, I'm still such a noob.

marcmarc I need you help, I ordered my xps the same day, so I guess they will bring both of them together , the thing is my aunt did it for me cause I don't live in U.S, and I don't have a way to see the progress, Im constantly in this forums and you have being helpfull for me cause you always post whats going on with your pc, so I think mine is on boxing too, which is good, cause my aunt is coming here on august 2nd , so she needs to receive the thing as soon as possible.

So could you please continue posting your status day by day please.

Thanks a lot for what you have already done.

Ishuaia,

I ordered mine on 7-23-2005, last Saturday. It had an estimated ship date of 8-1-2005. It's been stuck in "boxing" since Sunday-Monday. I called Dell, not knowing the info larryc2 gave, and they told me I should definitely receive it by Monday (8-1-2005). So, your aunt should get it by then too, but who knows for 100% sure. I guess it would also depend on where you Aunt lives. I hope you get it soon too.

I ordered my XPS on Friday (7-22-2005) late night and paid for overnight delivery.

Just received the laptop this afternoon... was quoted an initial ship date of 8-1-05....and a delivery date of 8-2-05...

So yours should be comming real soon....

It's awesome !
