8890 red sparkles in dark areas of lcd

I'm getting short red lines/sparkles in dark areas of my lcd. It's most noticeable when I'm playing games, you don't really see it when sitting at the desktop. I installed the latest Omega drives but it didn't make any difference. It seems to be a hardware problem becuase if I wiggle the screen the quantity and intensity changes. Anyone have any ideas?

This problem was fixed after I made sure that the cable from the screen was properly seated. I don't know that this was actually the problem because I closed and opened the screen as well as flipped the unit upside down before figuring out where this was cable was actually located.
