So the UPS man woke me up this morning with my urgent delivery. So far I am very happy with my 5660. There are only a few issues I have with it. Some weird things have been happening the more I play with my new toy.
I played some Counter-Strike at 1600x1200. It looks awesome. Unfortunately, some times when I look around with my mouse, artifacts appear in the middle of the screen, as if the refresh rate isn't high enough, and therefore is skipping some frames/ not drawing them fast enough. Has anyone else experienced this? Are the refresh rates for the UXGA lcd on the 5660 locked? Does lowering the rez reduce the artifacting?
Also with Counter-Strike, sometimes blocks of pixels become black or white (depending on the background around the area). While it's not very large (I'd say 20 pixels square, in 1600x1200 mode) it is a bit annoying. Anyone know what causes this?
My last problem has to do with the WinXP networking tray icon, the one that pops up if your network cable gets disconnected. Well, it has decided to permanently say my network cable is disconnected. This is obviously not true, since I am browsing the web as I type this. Is it reading a different connection status (firewire network perhaps?), and if so, is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
