xps2 freezing problem ??

hey guys i currentally own a brand new xps2 and i have been having a recurring problem with it freezing on me i have 2 thoughts as to why its happaning but i dont really know why first of all i thought maby is it overheating on me ? and second is it using to much of the cpu because it always seems to happen when im playing games in it i would have to be very dissapointed with it if it couldnt handle todays games which i find very unlikly but possible ?? i have just he 2 gig processor anyhow any insight or help would be appreciated thanx

1. Are you overclocking? If so, try bringing it back to stock speeds.

2. Have you reformatted the drive or at least uninstalled all the bloatware that Dell installs by default?

3. Try updating your video drivers. I'm not sure which are the best right now but maybe someone else here can tell you what they're using.

ok cool il try those things im not overclocking it at all atm thanx for the info anyone know some good video drivers ?

one can only hope that spendin so much on a lappy that it will work correctly

Bump, I'm having the same problem, and ive only had the xps2 one day ;[

I use the dell's video driver that you could download from their support site and it has been working flawlessly. I usually play BF2 for 4+ hours straight and more without a hitch. Here's the link.

hey i called tech support and they said the same thing so i did all that and i still got a freeze im trying to see if i can get another 1 before i call back il keep you updated
