Where to get i9KFangui and why? - Page 2

fan speed reported incorrectly

Running i9k 2.2.2 on an Inspiron 8500, I notice that the fan1 and fan2 are listed as 'high' speed all the time, though I can hear that they are at low speed.

If I switch to manual control then I can set the fans to off (and the display updates to off). If I switch the fans manually to "low" then the display updates briefly to low and then to high; I can hear that the fan is in fact at low.

Also, should I be worried that my (not very super fast) ATI 9000 GPU is idling at 63°C?

You all should download the latest 3.0 version of fangui. It has ran much better on my xps than 2.2.0. More stable with the sensors too.
