Battery Timer

Quick question for everyone. How accurate are the battery life estimaters that come with OS X? When I first unplug my powerbook it says 4:20, then in about 5-10 mins it says 3:15 then when it gets down to about 85% it says 2:20 and seems to go somewhat steady from there. Is everyone elses also like this because i find it odd the times are like this without me doing much different (just surfing and chatting) or changing settings. Heh dont mind all my questions people, getting used to my new toy

Yeah, that is normal. Right now it says 4 hours, but if I spend about 5-10 minutes on it it'll probably drop down to about 2:30. So, all is well. If you lower the screen brightness to the min time should extend, if you don't already have it on that setting.

Sometimes when I wake my notebook from sleep it'll have outrageous hours, like 140, lol, if only
