Hypersonic Mx6 New Features Question

I need to buy a laptop for college before the end of summer. I’m leaning towards Hypersonic MX6. However couple of days ago Hypersonic updated their RAM and HD. What is the difference between 80GB 7200rpm Ultra ATA Hard Drive w/ 8MB Cache and 80GB 7200rpm Serial-ATA Hard Drive with NCQ and 8MB Cache. What is the NCQ and what does it do? Also what is the difference between regular PC4200 DDR2 and PC4200 DDR2 with Low Latency 4-4-4-12.
Thanks.

Serial ATA drives are considerably faster than the traditionally ATA drives. It's a real plus if you game a bit.

Thanks, Looks Like I 'll Go With Serial Ata

The Serial ATA interface is theoretically better in both performance and design. However, with notebook drives, the differences are hardly noticeable, if at all.

I would just make sure you get a 7200rpm hard disk drive if you want the fastest hard disk setup. This is more important than the actual interface used on the drive.

Also, the 80GB 7200rpm drives are in very limited supply. If you are needing a notebook before school, you most likely are going to have to go with either a 60GB 7200rpm or 100GB 5400rpm and then upgrade later on your own.
