I didn't even pay attention to what kind of Transcend I have...

Could be Elpida..maybe not...is there anyway to tell from the package..I still have that.

I had 6 errors in 12 passes with Transcend Elpida chips. Needless to say they are RMA'ed right now. Five of the errors were at the same address (same failure).

Update:

I RMA'd the old Transcend and I mentioned before. I got the new one 2 days ago and SUPRISE it's the "Elpida" chip again! I ran memtest and got 2 errors after 3 hours. I was about to send it back too, but I decided to test it again, just to see. After 8 hours of a second test, no errors! I'm going to try again later today and just let it run. If it is stable then maybe I'll keep it. It doesn't really matter though because Transcend gives a lifetime warranty. I just decided to deal with Newegg with the first stick and get a refund.

Cool, Hawaii! I'm so jealous.

I just tested my two Transcend 1-gig modules with a six-pass test. One passed with flying colors. The other came back with two errors. I'm going to contact Transcend tomorrow about getting it replaced, as my I-9300 had problems booting up once, and I think it was the memory.
