Wide Screen Aspet Ratio

My XPS2 is my first expierience with a wide screen monitor. Some web pages fit to the entire horizontal space and some only fill about half of the horizontal. Is there a way to "stretch" or enlarge pages such as weather radar or pages with graphical data? I am analagizing to the ability to alter my wide sceen TV picture.

The answer is basically no. Webpages and sites use formatting and many set the width to a specific number like 800pixels wide so it looks the same on all browsers and resolutions.
