Yes, the bezel is around 3/4" thick.

That's because the picture in the support area has the 15.4" inch LCD in it.

I saw the 17" in person, it does not have the thick ugly bezel

what is the highest resolution on one of these bad boys?
The resolution pf these 17" displays is 1440 x 900

Getting the 15.4" screen on this thing is a waste. It looks ugly as hell with that huge bezel.

The 17" looks badass though. Ive seen it in person. Very crisp.

And less than 20 reviews in last 6 months also. I pretty sure they had more than 20 sales in last 6 months.

Gateway is not a reseller, they are a retailer.

BizRate would probably be a better bet.

And also, if you didn't notice, only a portion of the reviews are about computers. Buying a digital camera from them is stupid, so their opinion is invallid.

I think that, especially with larger companies, that site can be a little misleading. You are a lot more likely to take the time to post on resellerratings.com if you were unhappy with a particular company. You probably aren't going to take the time to post if you have a positive experience.

I just purchased one of these after taking a look at it in the not-so-local Gateway store. Now, I just have to wait two weeks to get it... man, its going to kill me.

Having bought it, I am now looking for a bag to carry it in... Not a very comon laptop size=few bag options. I could get the bag that gateway sells with it ... and thats about it. I have e-mailed many big laptop-bag manufacturers and none of them are big enough! I am looking for a backpack or even just a simple laptop sleeve. I dont want a leather briefcase to lug around.

The laptop is just enough larger than the apple 17" book to not fit in any of the cases designed for it.

Anybody have a suggestion?

If it's about the same size as a Toshiba P25 then this Backpack/Trolley at CC would fit. I had this for the CostCo P25, returned both and got a 5680 though.

I just bought an M675XL and ran into the laptop case problem. This is the one I bought:

http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=CPT300

I didn't do an extensive search on the quality, Targus may suck for all I know. But the case feels pretty solid, extra padded but sleek, and it fits the Gateway.
