oh sorry my bad i thought u wanted to boot from the cd. Well, if you are installing xp from the dell cd then its f12. If your doing it from the hard drive, im not sure what button it is, but your computer wont be any faster, as it reinstalls all the dell bloat back on there.

usually you insert your setup cd and then your computer will boot from it into the setup utility...

when u turn on the computer the cd will spin up and then you will see "press any key to boot from cd..." you then press a key and getinto the setup utility

you might have to tell your computer to boot from cd... to do this you look in the BIOS and change the boot order (i can give more details if needed)

i dont think there is just a key you can press... maybe with dell there is some thing special? like tha f12 thing previously mentioned

That would depend on how your bios bootup is setup. Usually it looks for CD, then USB, then HD.

If it is default like that then just have the CD in the drive and boot up and it will auto boot the CD like nmcbean said.

If you're talking about installing it from the CD, there is not button. You have to put in the CD, and when it reads the CD, you have to follow the directions. You might have to change your BIOS settings so that it boots from the CD first.
