Okay, new rule: unless it has already been posted on a public forum by the reseller, nobody is allowed to quote on this thread any e-mail, instant message, live chat, telephone conversation, or any other form of communication with a reseller, unless you are that reseller. Offending posts will be deleted, and repeat offenders will be banned.

one question

y cant teh z71v use the same screen as the z70v if theyre the same size and for the most part same specs?
i suppose it could but it would also bump up the price on it. also there might not be enough space in the z70v chassis to hold all the stuff that the z71v has. but i dunno.

don't sweat it you didn't offend me at all. smilepak & myself are being very strict with the rules of this thread because at least 3 other threads started talking about the Z70va and ended up as a big argument about resellers. The rules are in place for this thread so it will stay on topic about the notebook.

Too late to preorder refresh?

I need a notebook in my hands before AUG 25. Is this too little time for me to get it if I'm this late on preorder list?

I would say yes, but then again, it may not even be out by that time... ok, I would say most likely not be out by that time.
thread merged into official Z70va discussion

Damn, I can't get it then
Have to go with the acer 4000

I'm guessing the M6va is out already. I found several sites in Switzerland that sell it but I'm sure if they're in stock cause it's not in english. They're going for around 3000 Swiss francs which is around $2300 US. It shouldn't be too long for us Z70va fans, right? The M6va has 2 screen sizes. Does the Z70va have 2 screen sizes? I want the 15.4" screen. I am also wondering if I could get the ASUS sticker instead of the Built on ASUS one on my Z70va. If you guys want to see some pictures here is the address.

Thanks for the post, it's also listed on the Asus Global website. I saw some pretty nice prices down in Australia, but I'm willing to wait.

it says that there are -2 in stock, whatever that means. i'm also hoping it isn't that much longer until we get it. and i'm wondering about the design, maybe i'm wrong, but isn't the m6va a little different to the z70v(a)?
Yeah, I don't think the M6Va comes with Bluetooth. At least it's not listed in the specs on the website. Well I also heard that the bluetooth still isnt finalized on the Z70va either. Heard that on the forums, so take that as whatever you want. Either way, I'm just waiting until it comes out.
why are there multiple names for the same machines?
i wonder that same thing hehe jk
one version is barebone (whitebook), and the other is ensemble. They name them diferently so they can tell them apart.

I've got a question about the asus warranty: is the warranty in effect if I buy the laptop here and use it in europe, or do i have to go back to the US once something is broken in order for the warranty to be effective?

Only the ensemble units come with a world wide warranty *not the build on*

On ISTNC's website they say they anticipate the z70v refresh coming in on August 12th (in the scrolling text in the product description)
http://istnc.com/store/categories.php?cat=97

I think this follow's smilepak's rules for posting information about the z70v refresh in this thread, but if not, mods feel free to delete this.
