Clevo M570

Thread Starter
I found a picture of the Clevo M570 notebook on Cnet. Does anybody (especially the guys from PCTorque) know some specs?

Here is a picture:

Here you can find the thread with all Cnet pictures of notebooks shown at the Computex 2005 (first post on page 2):

WOW - nice I was just thinking - The 3 GPU's available are x800/x800xt/gf6800 - mayby the users of 9860/9880 wont have to upgreade the mobo for the x800xt???? The 6800Ultra is not listed - 60W, so mayby the x800xt will be so nice and wont require mobo swamp

If it came with a 6800U card then it would be really sweet. Personally, I'm not interested in the ATI card.

Doesn't it seem kinda silly to mate up a ATI Mobility Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition with a Centrino system? The concept of Centrino is to minimize power consumption while the concept of the X800 is to maxmize power consumption (well, not really, but you get the idea).

Also, any word about WUXGA on this machine? What about a release date guesstimate?

Most laptop video cards have very good power stepping, to minimize the amount of power consumption on battery use. There is no word on release dates or complete availability of internal specs, this machine has not been announced by any of Clevo's major OEM's yet.

I still think it strange that they would put GDDR2 on the X800 XT PE instead of GDDR3

If im not mistaken, somehwere it said the x800XT took 35w, which is significantly less than the 6800 ultra. That would save a lot on the battery life compared to the dell XPS2.

Luke, any guess whether or not it'll be before or after the 900K is availible?

I'd be happy with the x800XT for that very reason. *prays for descent port placements*

That looks pretty impressive, and it has a numpad! Damn Dell and their penny pinching...
