FanBios or the Sager 4880/4881(Clevo m400A)

Hi!

I´m a ovner of a Clevo m400a Barebone and member of the german 3D-Notebook.de Community

I think everybody knows it´s heating problem, expecially on hot days . There exists the H8-FanBiosUpdate for the Clevo D900T known as Sager 9880. After flashing you have the option to control and adjust the fans (on/off limits..).
Now, i found an H8-Bios for the 4880 on the following link: HERE
If you enter in the Kbios-folder, you can download the package.

Ok, after dearchiving i started the Flashh8.bat. I got the message "Cannot open file". Then I ran the FLashh8.bat in the "cmd", and saw that the program wants a version named H8M400A.P01. In effect i renamed the H8M400A.00 file to H8M400A.P01 and started it again. But the program returns version error.

Finally i decided to search the right file: "H8M400A.P01. But i cant find it

I know that this Bios could be the actual flashed version. But i want to try it or wait for a never release.

Has anybody an idea?

greetings

Given that the files in that archive have dates from 2001 and 2002 I doubt that they are newer than the bios that is currently installed on our laptops.

I would love it if there was a way to change the fan behavior on the laptop. Mine cycles from 38 to 52 degrees since the fans turn off when it cools down and the video card is really, really hot all the time. I would feel a lot better about it if the laptop wasn't continually roasting.
